The Category Management Support coordinates, communicates and manages the priorities of assigned categories of responsibility, to support category growth and sales performance measures:
- Provide support for key subcategory development as determined by the
Category Director
- Competitive analysis / subcategory reviews
- Provide recommendations of potential product adds for sub category
- Take on special projects that enhance the category management process
and/or lead to opportunities for increased profitability
- Partner with internal departments to create effective business strategies for
product categories.
- Collaborate with purchasing to optimize initial buys and manage ongoing
relationships
- Ensure SKU's are “PO Ready” and that margin targets and goals are
achieved.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on top-level objectives to effectively
bring the category vision to market
- Support with ongoing development and product launch tasks including:
- Data entry into B2B & other internal systems
- Coordinate all domestic and international shipments with a focus on
efficiency and cost savings
- Distribution of samples to appropriate departments according to launch
timeline
- Coordinate all testing samples for each product launch to decoration team
- Adhere to the key cross-functional launch dates and milestone calendar
